Program Director’s Message

We are excited to present to you our progress report for our inaugural cohort of the Atrius Health Primary Care Professional Development Program (PDP). This program was designed enhance recruitment and retention by providing doctors with the skills and knowledge they need to lead quality improvement initiatives in our organization and to effectively implement evidence-informed equitable practices across our sites.

Over the past two years, we have had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of doctors with a variety of clinical and leadership experience. We are thrilled to report that the program has been well received by our clinicians and praised by our leadership. Participating physicians report significant improvements in their ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-informed practices.

In addition to the training program, we have also introduced a number of other initiatives to support professional development including leadership presentations, journal club, networking opportunities, manuscript submission and conference participation.

We are grateful for the support of our participants and Atrius Health leadership, and we look forward to welcoming future cohorts as we work together to transform care to improve lives.
