The Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department at Atrius Health offers an integrated program to treat injuries and disorders of the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves. We offer treatment and prevention training for orthopedic conditions including:

• Sports medicine
• Spine and back care
• Total joint replacement
• Foot and ankle care
• Hand surgery
• Physical therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Podiatry

Our experienced team of orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants provides evaluation and treatment, including surgery, therapy and non-surgical management.

While many patients benefit from treatment through exercise and medications, others may need surgery to alleviate their pain or repair an injury. Our orthopedic surgeons are board-certified in orthopedics, sports medicine, and many are fellowship-trained in subspecialty areas. Several of our doctors are also on the faculty of Harvard Medical School.

Our orthopedic and hand surgeons perform surgeries primarily at New England Baptist Hospital and Surgicare Center, a highly-regarded hospital which performs more complex joint and spine procedures than any other hospital in Massachusetts and has been recognized nationally for its outstanding patient satisfaction, and at Mount Auburn Hospital for podiatric surgery.

At Atrius Health, your primary care doctor, your orthopedic surgeon, physician assistant and other practitioners work as a team to coordinate your care across Atrius Health services. In addition, our advanced electronic medical record ensures that members of your care team have access to your medical history and the latest information regarding your condition, your medications and your treatment. Together, our team will provide for all of your orthopedic needs before and after your surgery.
