Dr. Pascale Carbonara is an experienced internal medicine physician who has been practicing medicine for over 25 years. She has a long-standing passion for weight management and lifestyle medicine and is skillful, open minded and welcoming. Dr. Carbonara graduated from the University of Rome, Italy and did her residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She is fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
Danbi Choi, NP, joined Atrius Health in 2024. Before joining Atrius Health, she was practicing at the Mount Auburn Hospital weight management program, seeing both bariatric and medical weight management patients. Danbi graduated from Regis College with a BSN and MSN and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is fluent in English and Korean.
Dr. Giovanna Leddy joined Atrius Health in 2015 and the weight management team in 2017. She attended the College of William and Mary for undergraduate studies, the University of Vermont, College of Medicine for medical school, and completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as the America Board of Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Cyntia Saenz went to medical school at Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and completed residency in the Southern New Mexico Family Residency Program in New México. She also completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine in North Dakota and holds a diplomate in obesity medicine. Dr. Saenz has been working as a hospitalist for 5 years, initially in Laconia, NH where she taught for the New England College of Medicine, and then in Massachusetts at St. Elizabeth and Good Samaritan Hospital. Her clinical interests are obesity, functional/integrative medicine, and precision medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Obesity Medicine Association. In her spare time, Dr. Saenz enjoys dancing, scuba diving, and working out.
Dr. Svetlana Shkuratov joined Atrius Health in 2006 after completing her Internal Medicine residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. She practiced as a primary care physician for 16 years before joining the weight management team. Dr. Shkuratov has been always interested in prophylactic medicine and found her passion in supporting patients pursuing weight loss and adjustment to a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Shkuratov, who is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, is passionate about her work, committed to her patients, and empathetic in her approach. She is fluent in English and Russian.
