Weekend and Holiday Care
Atrius Health patients have access to adult and pediatric weekend and holiday urgent care at regionally located practices. After Hours Medical Advice
Medical advice is available to you by telephone 24 hours a day. After office hours, please call your doctor's office when you need medical advice unless it is a 911 emergency. Follow the prompts to our after-hours clinical triage service staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants with access to your medical record. They will provide medical advice, prescribe medication, schedule you for an appointment at our offices, or refer you to the preferred emergency room if needed. Our goal is to help you avoid the hospital where possible.

Referrals to Specialists
Atrius Health is pleased to offer a wide range of outstanding specialists. Our specialists work closely with our PCPs, using a single medical record to ensure the quality and safety of medical care. Our physicians preferentially refer patients within Atrius Health. For additional highly specialized care, Atrius Health works with a network of expert physicians outside of our organization. Please note: your health plan may require a referral from your PCP. If you think you may need a specialist, we suggest that you call your PCP to help you determine who would be the best specialist for you to see.
