How to Register as a Patient

For New Patients

If you are new to Atrius Health, explore our providers below. Once you have chosen a provider, book an appointment with them by using their ‘SCHEDULE’ button or by calling Atrius Health’s Central Registration team.

For Current Patients

If you are an existing Atrius Health patient who would like to join the Pride+ Care program to access additional services and/or switch to a Pride+ Care provider, email our Pride+ Program Manager.

Who was the Pride+ Care program designed for?

Any adult (18+) who identifies within the LGBTQIA+ community, lives in Massachusetts, and is looking for a high-quality, inclusive and supportive primary care provider.

How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

Most patients can book an appointment with a Pride+ Care provider within a month.

How much does Pride+ Care cost?

All Pride+ Care services fall within standard benefits for primary care or mental health, as long as we are in-network for your insurance.

What insurance plans are accepted?

We accept most health insurances! You can check if we accept your insurance

Do you accept MassHealth?

Our Pride+ Care primary care providers ONLY accept Fallon Health-Atrius Health Care Collaborative or FACC MassHealth insurance.

If I do not live in Boston or Cambridge, can I still access Pride+ Care services?

Patients can also see our Pride+ Care providers through virtual video visits, and access laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services at any Atrius Health location across eastern Massachusetts. Patients utilizing telehealth services must be physically located in Massachusetts during the appointment. To find the Atrius Health location most convenient for you, go to

What kinds of supports and resources does the Pride+ Care facilitation team offer?

Pride+ Care facilitators are not only available to help you navigate the complexities of healthcare, but they can also help connect you to community supports, such as housing, transit and financial assistance.

Do you offer gender-affirming surgeries?

We have strong partnerships with local healthcare organizations that have physician experts in gender-affirming surgeries, such as those at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Our Pride+ Care primary care providers are able to counsel you on general gender-affirming surgical options, write letters of support, and work with our care facilitator to identify the best gender-affirming surgeon to meet your needs. Our Pride+ Care gynecologist is able to perform gender-affirming hysterectomies.

Can I get access to other specialty care outside of LGBTQ+ specific needs?

Absolutely! Atrius Health can offer our patients outstanding care in more than 40 specialties, which are located right within our practice. Many of our specialists are affiliated with and practice at leading hospitals and have faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and other academic teaching institutions. Our Pride+ PCPs work closely with Atrius Health specialists and may preferentially refer you to them.

Which hospitals are you associated with?

For those times when hospital services are required, our providers are affiliated with leading teaching and community hospitals, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. All Atrius Health clinicians are linked by a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system, so your medical information is available no matter which practice you choose for your care.
