During the twelve-month residency program, the resident completes a variety of rotations to gain both patient care and practice management experience.
Required Rotations
- Patient Counseling and Pharmacy Operations
- Clinical Pharmacy Administration
- Drug Information
- Anticoagulation Management Services
- Direct Patient Care I & II
- Direct Patient Care III/APPE Preceptor
- Informatics
- Includes exposure to the duties and tasks involved in maintaining the EMR, EpicCare, tools for Internal Medicine and the whole organization, and building of some of these tools
- Teaching (longitudinal) - the resident will serve as an Instructor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS with longitudinal teaching responsibilities
- Residency Research Project (longitudinal)

Elective rotations
- The resident will choose one 4-week elective rotation based on interests and availability that may include:
- Pain Management
- Behavioral Health
- Oncology
