History
Atrius Health was founded in 2004 by medical groups including Dedham Medical Associates and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates; Granite Medical Group joined a short time later in 2005. While each medical group remained independent, they joined together to collaborate and develop quality standards using a shared medical record and to create services in the community for patients of the practices. The original name was Health One Care System.
In 2006, the name of this affiliation was changed to Atrius Health.
In 2015, Atrius Health reorganized, and Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical Group, and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates merged to form one large healthcare system. In 2017, PMG Physician Associates joined Atrius Health adding 7 new office locations to our practice.
Each of the medical groups that became part of Atrius Health has a rich history of providing high quality care for adult and pediatric patients in their communities. Today our integrated practice is built on a primary care foundation linked closely together with specialty care and other medical services to provide coordinate care for our patients.
